I mentioned it earlier. All Adobe did was make the program available from a download site instead of having to package and sell the program on CDs through retailers. Right now, CC 2014 is an upgrade from the original CC, but it didn't cost me a dime more. It is part of the subscription. And, when Adobe creates something new within Photoshop or LR, they can include it within the new updates without having to wait 9 months and package it with a new "major upgrade".
I had much rather pay the small monthly fee than get hammered every 8-9 months with a big upgrade cost. Oh yes, you get to put a subscription CC on TWO computers and they can be either both Macs, both PCs or one of each. In the earlier days, if you bought a boxed version for a PC, you'd need a completely different boxed version for the Mac.
