Dave,

It's classic cancer. Some win. Some lose. Some live to fight another day. You have been fighting the good fight. As someone who has been part of an NIH study since 2009, I hope you qualify for the new study. My sister has been in multiple studies over time. She has it the worst of our family, which has a rare genetic cancer (carcinoid tumors), but she has one tumor that is inoperable on her aorta. She actually lives near you, in Longmont, and is repeatedly having to commute to Denver for a variety of treatments and other interventions. Her weight is down in Karen Carpenter country.

I hope there is something they can do for Estella to address the bed sore and the bone infection. I had my latest lymphoma diagnosis a little over a year ago, went through chemo and radiation afterward. Now, I'm using physical therapy to counteract the damage done by the radiation to the muscles that attach to the right trochanter, where the lymphoma took up residence.

We got 8 inches of snow in Bozeman yesterday, and another couple inches overnight. It's headed your way. It appears Yellowstone was getting the brunt of the storm locally.

Keep fightin' Brother, and here's wishing you and Estella the best of outcomes.
