I just received a text from Art Schildbach, Christi's husband.
He had some very sad news. He told me I could share it with
Loons, and I thought it would be more appropriate to post it
here since Christi was not a "fan" of facebook.
Here is his text: "I feel you should know that my beloved wife
Christine, passed away on Dec 4th after suffering a stroke
(cerebral hemorrhage) the night before Thanksgiving....
Christine never regained consciousness, and the prognosis for a
quality recover was poor... Christine loved being a Yellowstone
Loon...I'm doing ok...Christine and I talked some about moving
forward should something happen to either of us.. that will
help in time, but right now, it is tough."
I am crying as I type this. Christi was a good Loon friend. We
had some very good talks. In person and on the chat page. I
have so many good Loon friends, and I have lost touch with
many. The last couple years have been tough for me. This is a
reminder to appreciate the people we have while we have them. I
don't know if you would like to make tributes here, or reply in
another thread, but I know Art would appreciate hearing from
some of the old Loons.
