The sound does not relent. It is a high pitched screaming and
finally demands my attention. So to find it. We see motion high
in a neighbor's tree and then another movement. Then there is a
Cooper's Hawk sitting on the guttering of one of the houses.
Finally into view are two Baby Cooper Hawks. The sound of
screaming does not relent all day.
Next day, the babies are flying around our two block long street.
Landing in trees but without grace. It is very noisy here now as
so many other birds are flocking and doing their own screaming. I
told the feral cat he must hide while the babies learn how to hunt
as I suspect Mom is ready to stop finding food. One baby sits on
top of the Mautre white Pine - a perfect photo.
