My Anchorage pen-pal absolutely hates them, so I never hear anything interesting from the south side of town. He bought his house when it was the earliest in the subdivision, and encroaching settlement has since compromised most of the wildlife habitat.
I'm remembering the view of four immensely long legs out the passenger side of my gummermint Blazer...we did a "pas de duo" in the middle of Highway 16 over the Big Horns, both of us wound up on the other side of the road from where we started, re-organized ourselves, and proceeded on.
