I know I am probably stepping into a quagmire, but can you all tell me in a non-snarky way if you were hoping for default and why?

Also, do you have little to no faith in the next step from the committee to find the ways to reduce the budget? I am speaking of the report due in November.

In addition, his apology aside, is it really alright with you for the Representitive from Colorado to refer to the President of the United States as "tar baby"? Is that not racist?

I am aware I look at this whole problem in a more simplistic way than perhaps all you do, but I am open to explanation.....real explanation.
