Wife came home from hospital today, so we are back together. She has to stay downstairs and only use a walker to get around. I have a walker for upstairs and walker plus wheelchair for downstairs. I go up the stairs by sitting down with back facing stairs. Then I use the good foot to push me up, one stair at a time. I will be doing most of the cooking.
Good news for me. Starting Monday, I can put 25% weight on my bad foot every two days. By the end of the week, I will have 100# weight, but still using the walker. Will be able to drive by then. Could drive now, but do not want to take chance of having a near miss and having to put full weight on foot to brake in an emergency. See doctor in two weeks.
Again, thanks for all of your concerns.
