After I got hit by the car, one dog got injured and had to stay with me. We had to have it put down due to injuries. The other dog took off because it would not let anyone else near it. Later, wife went back and was able to find it in the park. It was banged up but mobile. It stayed in the area and waited for us. Wife took it to the vet for a check up. We lost one but kept the other. I can imagine how they felt finding their dog.
