a Yellowstone question?

I seen a post on Facebook that implied that stopping to look at
animals in Yellowstone was frowned upon. It said something about
watching from staging areas? What's this about? Where are they?
And how do they attract the animals? I thought this stuff was
outlawed years ago.

I'm really looking forward to our June 19th trip and I want to
teach Jake the respectful things to do. He was little the last
time,this time He's excited.
