Been planning a possible trip to the West, visiting Crater Lake and
the Redwoods in Northern California, then traveling north along
Hwy. 101 as far as Lewis & Clark National Historical Park, then Mt.
St. Helens and Mt. Ranier before heading back east. Would
appreciate your comments about the time to spend in the Redwoods,
special things to see along Hwy. 101 and how much time to take to
enjoy the drive along it. Was thinking of staying around Newport,
OR, after a night at Eureka, CA. (314 miles) and then getting to
Kelso, WA the next day after seeing the Lewis & Clark park and Cape
Disappointment (222 miles). Do you think that is enough time? I'd
like any comments about the other places also. Thanks.
