I agree Hoot, things do come up. Delta Airlines has what's called the "Flat Tire Rule" where if there are emergencies requiring a flight change they don't charge you the change fee. I would say Xanterra would need to put something like that in place, but, like Skeets said, there are plenty of people just making a reservation not knowing for sure if they are even going. Makes life tough on those that are sure they are going and can't get a reservation.
