a thought on the cameras.......and as if you need one more thing to do... but it may help if you go to a camera shop, Best Buy or whatever store like that you have close and take a look at the models you are interested in. Pick them up like you are going to use them, etc.See which one fits your hand, check how heavy they are, etc. Really makes a difference when you are going to use them. I have the Rebel 300 and also the XTI and the 300 feels a lot better to me to hold and use. I have always liked Canons and the 100-400 lens is awesome for wildlife photos! :+)
