They are not like dogs that usually come when called. They are "CATS" which means they are independent. They will come if they want to come to you. They should never be let loose in an area away from their home.
When we moved from Colorado to Phoenix, our cat knew we were moving. On the last day, it went missing. Later in the day we found it sitting on the roof of our house. It would not come to us. I had to borrow a ladder from the neighbor to get it. Needless to say, we did not get very far that day.
